USA B1/B2 Visitor Visa Overview
The USA B1/B2 Visitor Visa allows eligible foreign nationals to travel temporarily to the United States for permitted business and tourism purposes. B1 covers eligible temporary business activities such as attending meetings, conferences, or negotiating contracts, while B2 covers tourism, holidays, visiting family or friends, and certain medical treatment. The visa is commonly issued as a combined B1/B2 visa. Visa validity and the number of permitted entries depend on the applicant's nationality and applicable U.S. reciprocity rules. For Indian and UAE nationals, B1/B2 visas are currently listed as multiple-entry visas with validity of up to 120 months (10 years). Visa validity does not determine how long a traveller may remain in the United States on each visit; admission and the authorized period of stay are determined by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the port of entry. Applicants generally complete Form DS-160, pay the applicable U.S. visa application fee, provide supporting documents, and attend an interview when required.
